It was back in 1995, when I first entered the world of complementary therapies. I studied for an ITEC Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology and Body Massage in the UK. My interest was triggered partly by my mother asking me to rub her shoulders and partly as I was working at the Football Association at the time so was able to understand the benefits of physical therapy in keeping the body strong and flexible.
In 2002 I went back to college to study for my Diploma in Reflexology. This is an incredibly relaxing, yet powerful, holistic treatment that while concentrating on such a small area of the body (feet usually, but also hands), really can affect all aspects of a person both physically and emotionally.
I am a Graduate in Waveform Energetics, have Reiki Level II and an Indian Head Massage Diploma so I have a number of tools available to me. I moved to New Zealand in 2011 and am a proud Professional Member of Reflexology New Zealand.
I believe it is important to listen to the words that a client says to you and to listen to the feedback that a body is giving you and to offer a treatment that initiatively responds in a practical and supportive manner.
